Expert consultant and author Michelle Nedelec inspires people not only with her digital marketing know-how but also her experience in navigating through “polarizing” relationships.

Her partner of 22 years is a techie introvert while she’s a creative adventurer. They’re complete opposites but Michelle says that their partnership gives her an opportunity to learn and improve every day.

Tune in to this episode: Opposites Attract with Michelle Nedelec

Key points covered in this episode:

✔️  We choose our total opposites because of our desire for personal development. Michelle Nedelec points out that we select partners that tick us off in that sweet spot - that individual who can reveal to us the parts of ourselves to work on and allow us the space to mature.

✔️ Date someone who challenges you. Why did Michelle Nedelec choose her current partner? She yearned for a challenge, someone intelligent who can point out where she needs to grow.

✔️ Get off of the argument elevator. Instead of stacking up the frustration until the 23rd floor, separate yourselves. Take a time-out to self-reflect. Sometimes, it’s a you-problem that you can’t see until you recenter yourself.

✔️ Contribute to the world in your own special way. Michelle Nedelec’s book, Business Ownership Mindset: The Ultimate Guide to Freedom teaches aspiring entrepreneurs to build companies that run without their effort.

✔️ Resetting yourself helps you respond and return with curiosity. Walk away for a while and recenter. You might realize that your buttons were pushed because you allowed yourself to be affected. You can then come back with fresh eyes and reconnect.

✔️ Find what enamored you about your partner and cherish it. The way they leave their used cups on the table, their inability to color-coordinate their clothes, or their off-key singing - whatever it may be, appreciate their quirks and remember to stay curious.

Michelle Nedelec has over 20 years of experience in Executive Coaching, working with clients ranging from 8 figures to solopreneurs. Michelle runs the creative side of her Done For You services helping entrepreneurs set up and maintain their digital marketing through her company, Awareness Strategies at AwarenessStrategies.com. She also draws on her experience from running her clinic Success Therapy.
